deliver canoes to moab 9/28 CASH OR CHECK ONLY, NO CREDIT CARDS
We are not a club or outfitter, all trips are just people paddling together. Paddlers must be independent and be able to control their boat in adverse conditions - high wind, rain, etc. Depending on the location, we may paddle fairly quickly. You must have all safety gear required by the state, park, etc. along with permits. We do not have gear to loan. Dogs and children are not allowed on our trips without permission from Jerry. Canoes and kayaks only. Lodging and camping reservations are on your own. We try to self-shuttle whenever possible but may hire a shuttle if there are not enough vehicles.
We do not paddle in huge groups as we find that smaller groups are more enjoyable. If we feel that you do not have the skills to do the trip, we may say no for the safety of everyone. Length restrictions apply - 15' minimum for solo canoes and kayaks, 16' for tandem canoes. One person per solo canoe, two people per tandem canoe. We will cancel trips if the wind is too strong at the launch spot too be safe.
Day paddles on the local lakes and the Snake River. Early starts to beat the crowds. This allows time for hiking, etc. later in the day and ensures a parking spot close to the launch spot. Lodging or camping is on your own, reservations are being accepted by the park now. We are staying in a tent cabin in Coulter Bay. You must be able to control your boat in possible high wind. A portage cart is strongly suggested for the portage between String and Leigh Lakes. A Wyoming AIS sticker is required and can be purchased online. Additional permits are required by Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. These must be purchased at the parks.
